We dined at Piaf as we were celebrating a friends birthday. I had heard and read many conflicting reviews, but nevertheless decieded to see for myself,as we had heard that there was a new menu staff and management, so booked a table. I must admit that from the time we arrived until we eventually left, our stay was exceptional. The friendly, helpful staff and management made our evening, together with the delicious food which was truly fantastic. It seems that Piaf in the village is a gem, and I recommend to anyone looking for "Real" food and unpretentious but efficient service to look no further!

The food, atmoshpere and staff were all brilliant,

I highly reccomend there new range of steaks , This place use to be famous for how bad the steaks were , now the complete opposite.

We went last week for steak tuesday, meal for two plus bottle of wine and tip £30. Will go back to sample the rest of the menu.

The only good thing about the credit crunch is that this dreadful place might finally be put out of it's misery.

The service is easily the worst in London, there were six staff on Saturday morning, who between them couldn't manage to serve a near empty restaurant with coffee and breakfast. Even when the food came, at 20 minute intervals, two of our group had to send their food back.

It amazes me who still goes to this place - for such a great location, there must be dozens of better managed restaurants who could deliver good food and good service and be full up every day.

I look forward to the day when Le Paif's owners finally throw in the towel in this terminally ill place.

I go to Piaf in Dulwich often, and I dont know what all the fuss is about, as its one of the few places i can be sure will serve freshly prepaired food in a warm cozy enviroment. Its real food not microwaved rubbish. The only thing I can say is see for yourself!

i lived in dulwich for 10 years, le piaf was a good place to eat but in recent months has been a total disaster.

i will go back there again!!

"I'm a regular at La Piaf Dulwich and I'm surprised and shocked at the negative comments on this site about food and service. I am only imagine that people have nothing to do but complain.

I have been coming to this branch for the last 3 - 4 month and although that I'm unaware of what it was like before , it was great each time we go, an would always recommend it to everyone looking for French Cooked Food, which is a variety these days."

Me and my wife and friends have been coming here for many years. It is not very good and in fact has actually gone downhill, but there is nothing better in the area so we put up with it. The staff are probably ruder to us than the average, passing trade, customer, but its cheap and better than having to cook at home. There is a worse place to eat in Dulwich so we are at least thankful for this place and I know if I complained then we might not be allowed back in.
