Had lunch at Eastway - not a good experience. Most, not all, of the waitresses unprofessional, and not interested at all. Worst was the price, average food for £19 for the main course. We asked the waitress (who had taken away the wine list) if it was better to buy a bottle of wine as opposed to a glass, she told us to buy it by the glass as it was only £2.50, when the bill arrived we were charged £9,00 for each glass of wine. Manager reduced the bill little, but we got the impression that people just dont bother to complain. They probably rely on their location and people not bothering to complain - don't go.

I agree with the reviewer - I have visited this restaurant three times in the last two months as it is very convenient, a pleasant place and less pricey or fomal than many in the City. The service is very hit and miss. In fairness to the waitresses they seem very pleasant people but untrained in how to work as waitresses, and barely trained in rudimentary (English) language skills so that I found myself reduced to the 'speak slowly and clearly in a loud voice' default option of the Englishman faced with a foreigner. Nor did they know much about the dishes on the menu. The food is very average too.

Myself and 4 other ladies went on Wed evening to make use of the toptable special offer. We were all very impressed and had a lovely meal. The service couldn't be faulted. The Kir Royales were lovely! Food was very tasty and such good value getting 3 courses and the Kir Royale for £20. We were all full up by the end of it and didn't need to order any side dishes with the main courses. Their apricot icecream.... mmmmmm! Would definitely re-visit and recommend to others.

Not bad food, rubbish service. Staffed exclusively with Eastern Europeans with isn’t itself necessarily a bad thing. In the absence of any kind of leadership however the staff are surly, combative and aggressive. The location is wonderful but when you’re paying £22 for a steak I don’t expect to have faces made when I ask for a side plate from which to eat my bread roll. Similarly, asking for another drink was met, honestly, with a roll of the eyes!
The food’s not good nearly enough for this place to thrive with service this bad. Survives purely on the basis of location. Avoid.

This was the first time I had visited the terminus. It was on a Wednesday night at the atmosphere was buzzy and the staff and manager were friendly and eager to please. We had a shared tapas dish which included a selection of meats, cheeses, mini chorizo and many more which was fantastic and more than enough for two people. I was dissapointed with the selection of main courses as it was very small, so I ended up having Coq Au Vin which was ok but simply the only thing I that appealed slightly on the menu, my friend had Sea Bass which was lovely. The only real gripe was that nothing was served with Vegetables or side dishes, these had to be ordered separate. When Im payig £15 for something I expect at least a carrot with it or something. I think its a perfect place to go after work for drinks with the shared tapas but not for a special occasion.

A busy Friday evening, packed with city workers at the bar, Terminus has a vibrant and lively atmosphere.
A good selection of spirits, wines and cocktails.
Food was mixed. The 28 day matured fillet steak is highly recommended. Fish cakes ok, and the lamb oddly enough tasted like Frankfurters... I'm not kidding and don't ask me how!
Service was a bit slow. They messed up our mains order and one of our party ended up having to wait 15mins for their food to arrive while everyone else tucked in. The manager did admit to the mix up and as a result didn't charge us for the main course... nice touch.
To conclude... you'll like the place if you want a bustling atmosphere, enjoy your meats and have plenty of time to kill.

A friend and I visited Terminus yesterday evening for a drink as we occasionally do after work. It's always been fairly pleasant but yesterday evening the staff were incredibly unhelpful. The bar area was busy although the tables designated for eating were not all full. There were no bar stools left so we perched on the end of the bar with our coats, bags etc. I asked a member of staff if we could sit at one of the dining tables until they needed it. The reply was very brusque and was a simple "no, not if you're not eating". In the entire time we stayed at the bar the table remained empty. A table eventually came free but as we moved to it we were told someone else had asked for it although the waiting staff had known for well over an hour that we would like to sit when possible. We moved all our stuff yet again to another table to be told someone was also waiting for that. The gentlemen very kindly gave up the table whilst he was waiting for his friend. None of this is particular earth shattering. Yes, it was a busy bar so we could have moved on but we chose to stand - fair enough but the rudeness and unhelpfulness of the Terminus staff really would have taken some beating last night. By the time we left at 9.30 there were still empty dining tables. Come on Terminus - where's your common sense? Obviously drinks only customers are a nuisance to Terminus who don't want to give up those all too valuable dinner tables although they returned no revenue last night. And, do they not realise that those of us drinking there in the evening have often eaten there during the day??? I won't be going back for sometime if i can help it.

While staying in London for 8 months I went to the Terminus for lunch and dinner quite a bit. Lunch service and quality were spotty but I found the dinners much better--more consistent service and quality. The pork and apple mash dinner was superb.
