We went to Takari last night for my birthday and had a fantastic meal. The staff were attentive and efficient and the food was excellent. Coupled with an intimate and welcoming atmosphere was a wonderful way to celebrate and I will definitely be going back.

I went here on Saturday with a group of friends (6) and the place was half full and the atmosphere was great, the service was excellent the waiters made us feel very welcome. The pace looked very neat and tidy, the food was excellent, love the funky desserts.
We had a excellent fun time and i shall be going back soon, i would definetly recommend it to my friends.

Went here with two others on a Wednesday night. The place was 1/2 full and had a good atmosphere. Overall, I found the food to be either very greasy or dry (rice) with nothing in between or in fact as I would expect - disappointing. Most of the staff were friendly and efficient although one waiter was particularly 'full of himself' with quite an arrogance about him. Shame, as it took the shine from the rest of the guys.
I notice another reviewer was surprised at the total when the bill came - we were a little taken aback by the overall cost for what it was and the size of the portions. Nothing horrendous - it was just disproportionate.
Would I go back? Probably not as the food was below expectation and the portions and prices did not match.

Food was good, but hot! Much more so expect having quite a bit of experience in a variety of establishments!
Watch the drinks prices they are a rip-off £6.45 for a lager, and you'll find the bill is much higher than you expect at the end of the night.

We went on early Wednesday evening as we have a show to attend near by. The first impression walking into the restaurant was clean and tidy.
When the food arrived, we looked at the portion and it was tiny. We tried the rice and it was dry, the nana was small (size of mini pizza), oily and not fluffy at all.
The price of the food does not match the quality of the food. If I had a choice between Weatherspoons and Takari, I rather go to Weatherspoon for a curry club night.
For drinks, my partner ask for small cobra, which they only do large bottle. As for me, I asked for tap water. When I was 3/4 through the glass, there was lime scale floating at the bottom of the glass. I asked the waiter for another glass as it has lime scale, he said the lime scale was due to the ice. So I ask him, next glass I dont want any ice. What he do, he brings me a jug with ice in it! The jug has water stain on it which put me off drinking any water.
The best bit was the chutney with the popadom! But that cost us $4.00 for 2 x popopdum and bit of chutney!
Overall I will not go back there again!

takari is our regular weekend spot and we absolutely love it. Unpretentious, well cooked food, more fine dining than brasserie. The staff are courteous and helpful and quick to accomodate your seating preference. The wine list is extensive but reasonable, infact we had one of the finest rose wines there. . Love it!

Takari was a fantastic experience. As a vegetarian, there were several excellent options available. The food was very tasty, not too light, not too heavy, special recommendation for the dhal makni and pilau rice. My partner thought the Lamb Rogan Josh was excellent. Attentive service, great atmosphere, this is a great venue for some top quality Indian food. It is not cheap, but not exorbitantly expensive either. Highly recommended.
