We went as part of a surprise visit to London for my partner's 40th. The restaurant were very helpful when I made the booking and when we arrived, they had reserved the table and decorated it with balloons, streamers and sparkly confetti which made a lovely welcome. The waiter was extremely attentive and cheerful and gave us a really warm welcome. Our meals were both delicious-mixed meditteranean grill and mixed fish kebab grill mains. The wine was very nice indeed for a basic house wine. The waiter brought out a flaming ice-cream bombe dessert which sells on the menu for nearly £5 for my partner as a special birthday treat which was a lovely touch and the bill was extremely good for anywhere.....but especially for London.
Thank you Terra for making a special occasion even more special. I would recommend this place to anyone and would definitely go again.

You cannot go wrong with Terra -
The menu is varied, the staff are lovely and the price is unbeatable for the level of service and quality of food you get. The spaghetti bolognese is the best you will get and the lamb burgers are tasty. All in all a good meal at good value with good service. I go here regularly and have never been disappointed.

I went here for my birthday with my husband about a week ago. He suggested the Gaucho, but unfortunately I said I'd rather go here. His lamb starter was good, my humous was ok. His steak main was ok but fatty. Drowning in sauce which looked like it was there to hide the fatty steak. My seafood kebab things for main were terrible. Very overcooked and tasteless. I got the feeling they were overcooked on purpose to disguise the fact that the fish was old. I ended up leaving half the meal. The wine was very overpriced and the particular bottle we had wasn't nice. The only good thing about the place was the service.
I'd never go again and would never recommend it. I have no idea why there are so many good reviews here.

We went to Terra on Saturday evening and found the whole experience to be a thoroughly enjoyable one.
After having been out of London to Twickenham we were not sure what time we would make it back into town and get to the restaurant. Sure enough we arrived there about 45 minutes early and after umming and ahhing decided to chance our arm and be the first ones in the restaurant, never a great feeling. The staff, however were exceptionally warm and welcoming and were more than happy for us to have a drink and peruse the menu slowly. The food was lovely and the wine was very good. I agree with some of the comments that perhaps the restaurant is a little dated in decor, but we found that it added to the ambience and general cozy feel which many more modern looking restaurants do not have.
We had come down to London for a romantic weekend, just my husband and myself, and this restaurant allowed us the opportunity to relax and enjoy some lovely food in a very warm and welcoming environment.

Really nice! The waitress was very friendly, food was decent for its price, and the atmosphere was romantic - candle-lit, not too crowded.
Went for my birthday dinner with my girlfriend, we both agreed to return some time in the future.

I went to Terra for my birthday meal with 3 friends on a Saturday night and had a brilliant time! Great food, great staff and great price.
We were welcomed with lovely balloons on the table and very friendly staff. We were able to take our time with ordering the food and the staff were very helpful with slightly adjusting the meals to suit us. The food was delicous and had nice twists to simple dishes - the Mixed Seafood Grill with rice was yum!
The staff were always around when we needed them but never intruded in to the evening and our waiter had a great sense of humour.
The bill for our three course meal with 2 bottles of wine came to £24 each(including tip), which I think is fantastic value for a London restaurant. I will definitely be going back in the future and highly reccommend it!

We had the set menu and it was fantastic value for money. The food was simple but tasty and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The highlight of the meal was the amazing beetroot soup we had as a starter. Along with a lovely bottle of Sauvignon Blanc the three course meal came to £20 a head; an incredible deal for central London! We'll definitely be going back.

This restaurant is fantastic! A real gem in the local area.
The food is delightful and the service very friendly and attentive but discreet. It represents amazing value for money with a 2 course evening meal with wine available for £30-40.
A must for a low-key special occasion or a meal out with a group of friends.

Terra is a fantastic restaurant, the staff are wonderful, attentive but not intrusive. I have visited this place as part of a large party and with my husband on a quite night out. On both occasions the night was brilliant. The food is lovely and the menu is varied, I had swordfish on a bed of salad with creme fresh, it was cooked to perfection and beautiful to look at. The drinks are very reasonable, check out the shots menu!
I have been to so many restaurants in central london and you simply cannot rely on many but this is a must, it's very cosy and has a great room downstairs for larger groups. Everyone who came in had booked, I think it's a must as it is popular, the most surprising thing is with all the good points that Terra is also the best value you will find anywhere in Central London, we had 1 beer, 1 wine, 2 shots , a shared starter and main course each and the bill was £38.00!!!
I will be visiting Terra again, it is great to have such a fab restaurant were you know you will have a wonderful time.

Last night we ate at Terra after a show, and we had the 3 courses for £14 offer. The set menu was rather limited, and I'm amazed they didn't want to showcase some of their more exotic sounding dishes from the a la carte.
We both started with the bruschetta, which was actually some of the nicest I've ever had. The put coriander and Indian spice on it, which was unusual but worked really well. Mains were fine; I had the chicken and saffron rice, my boyfriend had the sausage and potato in a red onion and marmalade sauce (posh sausage and mash, basically!) He did like it; the mash was very creamy and the sauce was interesting, if a bit sweet; the sausage was OK, very meaty but a bit dry for his tastes (more fat required!)
My dish was perfectly edible, but rather bland - I also found my chicken rather dry, and although the rice was very yellow it just tasted like everyday rice. The pot of curry-like sauce on the side was an interesting touch, but did taste exactly like it came from a packet.
Desserts were good (cappuccino chocolate bombe, mmm), and the house white was nice. Service was prompt and friendly as well, and the place has a nice cosy feel with a lively atmosphere. Mind you, I was
All in all absolutely fine for the price then, but a missed opportunity; I probably wouldn't go back on the strength of what we ate there. Some stuff on the a la carte sounded fabulous; they should dazzle customers with samples of their best stuff, then I'm sure they'd happily return even without the offer.
