When Little Bay first opened in Battersea four years ago i came on here and wrote a review saying how excellent it was. For the first two years it was open it was brilliant. The last two years the service has let the place down. Where i used to go frequently as i live so close by, i now hardly ever go because for me the service has to be good just as the food and prices. The food and prices and atmosphere are still amazing but the service is so poor now. Unless you go in a big group or near the end of the night you are treated very poorly.

I went again recently hoping things had improved but they hadnt. We had a very rude waiter, and this has now put me off enough to not to go back. I dont want to sit down for a meal and be reminded 7 times that i need to leave at a certain time.Id said to the waiter that i would guarantee him that we would be out by the allocated time but this still did not stop him coming up to us and looking at his watch constantly and then half an hour before we had to be out telling us that we were not allowed to have desserts. We had got in there two hours before we had to leave at the time given so had plenty of time but this did not stop us been harrassed constantly. We spoke to the manager but he acted like he couldnt care less. very disappointing

For someone who went so regualrly and brought friends, family and big birthday dos in there, it is so disappointing that i feel time and time again that as soon as i sit down they couldnt get me out of there fast enough to get the next lot of people in there

Spent my 21st Birthday here. It was really lovely! I went in a party of four and was given a little private booth upstairs. It gave us a lot of privacy and was very cozy. The restaurant had incredibly interesting interior decor and the waitresses were extremely attentive and helpful! They even surprised me with a candle in our dessert and sang me a birthday song! All in all, good food, good price and great atmosphere! 2 thumbs up for Little Bay Battersea!

This place is just great. I found it in Croydon where I went for lunch with a group, during a course I took and they told me they had one by Chelsea and since then, I have not looked back. I have now been to this Battersea Restaurant five times and will keep coming back.

The food is great and at a great price too. They do great steamed fish that just melts in the mouth and the goats cheese hmm hmm hmmmm wonderful. I had my birthday here and my friends enjoyed themselves so much with the singer making the night and the bathrooms, well, it gave you ideas and lots to talk about.

Every time I have been here the staff have been so friendly and warm, a wonderful restaurant and a wonderful team, bravo!!!

Just came back from the best night out in South London.

The place was great, food excellent, waitress very attentive and helpful with choosing our meal, as it was our first time.

A great surprise, as a new customers the manager came over to chat with us and explain a little bit about the restaurant, the food and opera?. Mr. Illich, I hope I got the name right, has some of the most amazing ideas as Nash explained.

Please check out the toilets. Great place and we will be back for more.

Have been two or three times now. Excellent fun, lovely food and fantastic value.

Enjoy everyone describing themselves as liberal before announcing their disgust at the toilets. It's just something else that adds to the bizarre and unexpectedness of the place. If it's not for you then there's another identikit Pizza Express around the corner which will offend your liberal soul less.

Book ahead for a booth as always adds to the experience. Bravo.

I went to this restaurant for my birthday last week and had a fantastic time. It really is great fun with the OTT decor and amusing opera singer.

The food was really very good (although they still had a couple of dishes from xmas) and a really good price. We had no problems with service, the food arrived on time just as we asked even though there were a few large parties there.

The murals in the toilets are obscene (we had a sneaky peak as the ladies are being re-decorated) there is a 'family toilet' but perhaps there should be stronger warnings. I think it is all part of the decadence and fun of the place.

All in all, a great night out!

We went to the Little Bay for a friends birthday. We ordered our food at 8.20pm our main courses arrived at 11.05pm! In the meantime no one ever came to offer us drinks or explain the delay. The duck was disgusting- deep fried. My braised beef was 'fridge' cold in the middle - when I sent it back, both the chef and the waiter touched it to test the temperature then sent the same touched food back microwaved!

After several complaints and requests to see the manager (12th Jan) he never came over to talk to us and then became rather aggressive when we suggested that perhaps we shouldn't have to pay the full price for a meal that was 2hrs late and cold.

The Kitchen looked too small and dirty. The toilets were filthy and out of order. Perhaps they should spend more time cleaning them and less time painting really graphic hard core porn on the walls.

The food may be cheap, but quite frankly I would rather pay more NOT to have to go there ever again.

Visited Little Bay last night for a Christmas celebration with a group of friends for my second visit. The food was again excellent, well-cooked and very good value for money. I had smoked salmon parcels with prawns to start which were simple but tasty, followed by lamb steak and roasted vegetables, which were arranged in an odd small pile with mashed potato, bit different but still good. My favourite course was dessert of apple cake and ice cream and custard, no this isn’t a typo you do get both! As mentioned in the review below the toilets are certainly an eye-opener and I can see why there are separate toilets for children! The only downside was the service. You appreciate that service is always going to be a little slower when there are lots of groups but we were only six and had to wait forty minutes between starters and mains by which time we had devoured all the bread on the table in hunger! Given the quantity of waiters this shouldn’t have been a problem. However still love the place for the food and the live opera, always entertaining!

Went to this restarant last night - it is awesome! We were in a little secluded cabin above the main door with the opera singer putting her head round our window every so often whilst singing classics from la traviata etc. Like the other diners, I was worried that the price would reflect the quality of the food - but not a bit of it! £2.95 for a bowl of mussels, £8 for a marlin steak (on the specials board so extra fresh) and £2.95 for a chocolate cheesecake. Our waiter and waitress were friendly and attentive too.

The only thing I would say is not to go into the loos unless you are liberal - they are covered in highly graphic pornography. I didn't mind - just stood there in mild surprise!

Little Bay is a pearl in a barren land. With few options around it, one resolved to take a chance.

Pleasant was the surprise at both the food and the prices. Two mains, an entrees and a few drinks and the bill was unde £30.

The service was prompt and while almost a little too eager, you can't fault our waiter for lack of attentiveness.

There was another most pleasant surprise, live opera. While you could say cringeworthy, it was a fun and novel experience to compliment an otherwise great evening.
