I went here last week with some colleagues from work. I have never been to a place that serves such huge portions. Had the lamb shank which had 2 very large pieces of meat which actually comprised of flesh rather than fat. The tiramisu was delicious and like every other dish substantial. Even the coffee came in a very large cup ! My only gripe was that it was a little pricey. This of course begs the question could you not shave off a couple of quid for more manageable portions ? Would highly recommend this place but make sure you go on a very empty stomach.

I have eaten in La Figa on many occasions and have found the staff to be friendly and attentive every time. The menu is varied, and the portions are large ones. There is a great atmosphere, and many times that I have taken friends there they comment that it would be nice if there was somewhere similar near to them.

I cannot remotely agree with Simal's review, but wonder whether he mentioned any of his complaints to the manager...

I will be going there again and would say to Simal if you don't like it go elsewhere.

A good italian restaurant. Sister restaurant of il Bordello's in Wapping. il Bordellos offers more of a pizzeria experience with wipe down table clothes and cramped atmosphre.

The newer offering, La Figa, is a bigger more roomy establishment with a longer sit up bar and lots of tables dotted around drapped in white linen. The service is the same, an almost cliched but well delivered act of the happy rotund italian waiter with a big smile, jovinal attittude rushing from table to table in a loud but friendly manner.

The food served in almost double portions is a tad dangerous for anyone watching ones weight. Its extremely tasty food which no one wants to waste. Anything from the stove cooked pizza to the specials board is executed perfectly in a well practiced pasionate manover.

Maybe a touch more expensive than the high street chain italian but most definately twice as good.

Enjoy.

Definitely somewhere I would go back to....time and time again. Saturday's first sitting was busy but the staff were really attentive and the service prompt but not rushed. There were quite a few return diners given the welcomes that were being handed out at the front desk. Great, bustling atmosphere. The food was very good, and Italian-sized - you are not going to go hungry. The desserts were a definite hit. The house wine was more than adequate and good value.

I guess I might have picked the wrong night given all the excellent reviews, but my experience at La Figa was far from memorable. The food was ok, but definitely not representative of what Italian food should taste like. Price more than reasonable and good service, not sure I will go back though.

Had a meal for 3 at La Figa on Friday night. Lovely food, excellent friendly service and a buzzy atmosphere. Overall very good value and a menu to suit all tastes. Menu and layout almost identical to its sister restaurant La Bordella.

I walk past La Figa every day after work. It is full all the time which shows how popular it is. The food is amazing, reasonable priced. There are plenty choices on its menu. Also, they always have special menus too, so you will never get bored. Will definitely recommend to my family and friends.
