Club Gascon

We had the tasting menu of 5 courses together with 5 wines. sometimes with these you yearn for a sandwich when you get home but this was a good balance of interesting flavours.

The service was attentive without being overbearing and the atmosphere on a Tuesday evening was good. Farily full restaurant but not crushed or lacking in room. Overall an enjoyable experience to be repeated.

Day of the Raj

Had stopped going here because the food had become bland and samey but decided to give it another try after our local shut down and it was greatly improved and up to the standards it used to have.

Service was welcoming and friendly. Food was hot, tasty and well cooked. The bill at the end was very reasonable.

Glad it's back to standard.

Prince of Ceylon

The restaurant has had a makeover recently but I don't think that this has added to the atmosphere. In fact it had little. The service was slow but firendly enough. The menu was quite short ,in a strange order and lacked quiote a few "favourites" The food was ok but hardly inspired and we had the feeling of been there, done that and would not be that keen to return.

The bill was extremely reasonable.

Mosaica @ The Factory

Food was good. Portions plentiful and quality good. Restaurant not full on a Thurs Evening but still a good atmosphere.

Service was wiling but under pressure. They could have done with another waiter

Genzo (formerly Meze Bar Restaurant)

It was a Sunday Evening and not very crowded but the service was slow and not all that attentive. The food was ok but hardly inspired. It seemed to follow a formula and have no originality or warmth as a restauratn. Disappointing compared to a previous visit.

Mandarin Kitchen

It was very busy on a Sunday evening and we hadn't booked but they made us feel welcome and we had to wait only about 10 minutes. The service was efficient and friendly.

When the food came it was without exception delicious and in ample quantities. Looking around there were a lot of Chinese customers which sounds like good news to me. 2nd visit there and impressed on both occasions.

El Parador

Went on a Sunday night. The place was quite busy but not full. They were welcoming and efficient at producing the food all of which was well cooked and tasty.

2nd visit and well worth going.

Agra Restaurant

Went on a Sat evening quite late. Food was quite good. Service was efficient but pretty grumpy as if waiter would rather have been at home. No better tha a local high street indian. Prices very reasonable

Zizzi (Earls Court)

Food good. Service efficient. good value. One complaint. Why do they allow smoiking at any table. If you aks for a non smoking table they look at you as if you come from Mars!
